A unique picnic experience
Enter by a private entrance, winding your way through the tall trees, to come across a secluded setting.
Here there is a beautifully set table, comfortable chairs, and delicious food using local seasonal ingredients, served with a fine wine from a neighboring vineyard.
All for you to enjoy in private, in tranquil surroundings.
This is the land of eucalypts and wattles, of kangaroos, echidnas, kookaburras, and delicate seasonal wildflowers. The air is fresh, there is the call of the birds, the rustle of the leaves, dappled sunlight.
Our property, overlooked by Mt Kooroocheang, has stunning native grasslands, rocky outcrops and 60 acres of native forest, bounded by a spring fed creek. Just 15 minutes from Daylesford, Eastern Hill is set on the Dja Dja Wurrung lands, and once formed part of the pastoral run of Captain Hepburn, the first European settler in this region.

Daylesford Forest Picnics
The forest was our first experience of this magnificent property. I love it. I love the tranquility. I love that it is home to the native animals, the native plants. I love that it is unchanged and left alone just to be a forest.
The forest is a significant area of remnant native forest with unique seasonal wildflowers and a protected habitat for native animals and flora.
Our picnics are a unique opportunity to experience the peace and beauty of a privately owned forest in central Victoria.
